Night Lint
Explore the macabre past of an old mansion, solving puzzles of light and shadow in this all-black-and-white Survival Horror.
With an aesthetic that looks like it comes straight out of Frank Miller's creativity, and a clear desire to pay homage to old-school survival-horror, White Night had more than enough to arouse players' curiosity. Developed by the small French studio OSome, the game puts you in the shoes of a dark-tempered detective, and transports you straight into a film noir with a jazzy musical ambience.
The opening story is simple enough: your fairly tipsy hero devours the asphalt, ruminating on his misfortunes, before ending up running straight into a tree. Desperate for help, the man in the raincoat tries to break into the nearby mansion. That's where the trouble begins. Clearly deserted and populated by mysterious spirits, the Manor House will be the scene of all your actions, and will reveal a rather fun scenario to discover.
A horror/adventure game, White Night takes its inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock's films to create a dark universe with a strong identity. The player takes charge of a wounded man who takes refuge in an old family mansion, discovering his story through matches. The player must solve puzzles of light and shadow. Set in the 1930s and inspired by the great narrative themes of the "Noir" period, White Night skilfully blends exploration and puzzle-solving, all in the third person, with a mature tone reminiscent of old-school Survival Horror adventure games. Players will investigate a dark mansion following a car accident from which the protagonist escaped, and what begins as a search for a safe haven soon turns into a desperate quest to uncover the secrets behind the mansion's tormented past.
